Hole n°1
- Par 4
- HCP 7
As on any course, the main difficulty of this hole is the fact that it is the first. A tee shot on the flat left side of the fairway is ideal for attacking the green. The green is relatively large but guarded by 2 bunkers and shots that are too long will be penalised by a red penalty area.

A drive to the left of the fairway is ideal for avoiding the bunker on the right and then attacking the green. The green is surrounded by three large bunkers which make the second shot tricky. Make sure you play the middle of the green as it is relatively flat and there are no surprises.

The difficulty of this par 3 is undoubtedly what precedes the green. Proudly guarded by a red penalty area, woods on the left and a bunker in the background, this slightly elevated green is located above a large depression which penalises shots that are too short and makes the approach tricky.

From the tee, this hole seems relatively wide and straightforward, but beware of the drive. The fairway slopes to the left and deflects balls easily when it is dry and well mown. Trees to the left and right of the fairway make putting tricky. A lone tree 80 metres from the green dominates the left of the fairway and penalises clumsy second shots. Beware that the green is divided into three levels and there are grass bunkers on the right.

The slope of the fairway to the right makes for a tricky tee shot. For long hitters, play a 3-wood or long iron and look for the high part of the fairway. Slightly dog-legged to the right, this two-tiered hole ends in a vast, fairly flat green guarded on the right by a large bunker, a small red penalty area and a few trees that penalise clumsy shots.

This double left dogleg requires patience above all. Do not get excited and do not try to shorten the hole by playing over the woods and along the left side of the fairway. Look for the middle of the fairway with each shot and follow the natural pattern of the hole. Once you have found the green, you will be charmed by a group of six bunkers punishing uncertain and timid shots.

You can finally catch your breath and enjoy a relatively short and easy downhill par 4. The fairway is wide but protected by a bunker on the right. It narrows if your tee shot exceeds 210 meters. There are a few trees and two bunkers surrounding the green, which is large and without surprises.

This is a relatively long par 3 whose main difficulty lies around the green. The approach to this hole is guarded by three deep bunkers and large fruit trees. It opens up and clears once you have passed half of the green. The back of the green is clear but, when it's dry and fast, it's difficult to control a downhill approach with a left-to-right slope.

The tee shot from this hole will not present any problems for players who hit hard and draw. For others, expect to play your second shot with your feet lower than the ball. The right side of this par 5 is delimited by an out of bounds and the road leading to the clubhouse. Be careful and stay to the left of the fairway. The entrance to the green is fairly narrow and guarded by a group of flat bunkers. The green is wide and ready for the second shots of the longest hitters. Beware, there is a deep bunker hidden to the left of the green, so avoid visiting it !

Shaped like a right dogleg with right angle, this par 4 is a real challenge. Bordered on its right by a wood, the driving range and an out of bounds, it is preferable to aim for the left of the fairway for greater safety. Your tee shot should not exceed 220 meters. Once you've successfully teed off, you will be facing a green guarded by two bunkers and an out of bounds on the right.

This short downhill par 3 is the easiest hole on the course. It is short and has a wide green. Guarded by two large bunkers, this green can be tricky if the flag is placed at the back left. Be careful, as an out of bounds on the right can penalise the unwary player.

Anyone who has played at the Golf Club de Lausanne remembers this hole. But why should they? Downhill par 4 with a narrow fairway; on the right: out of bounds and fairway bunker; on the left: woods and a steep hill. The approach to the green remains perilous with its two elevated plateaus surrounded by bunkers and an out of bounds on the right. It seems these few aspects could be the explanation for this enigma.

With its ups and downs, this par 5 will make you feel like a passenger on a rollercoaster. The tee shot is flat, but once you've reached the first depression, the rest of the hole opens up with dramatic terrain variations that are more impressive than disturbing. If you are clever, you will manage to find yourself lying flat on every shot, which is no mean feat. The green is made up of two plateaus surrounded by three bunkers and bordered by a road, but don't worry, it is not out of bounds.

From the start, things are fairly straightforward and there are no surprises: this par 4 slopes slightly downhill to finish with an upward slope to the green. The landing zone of the drive is protected by trees on the left, a bunker and out of bounds on the right. Long hitters may find themselves overhanging if they play a driver. The elevated green is difficult due to its narrow shape and slopes. It is surrounded by deep bunkers and an out of bounds at the back.

This is the course's signature hole with 2 lakes bisecting the fairway, making for a spectacular view throughout. After a tee shot guarded by a bunker on the left of the fairway, the second shot requires a little skill. After passing the two relatively large penalty areas, the elevated green is surrounded by grass and sand bunkers. The green slopes towards the lakes, making approaches and downhill putts quicker and trickier.

The fairway of this hole slopes to the right and is overlooked by a hill that hides the green. The hole appears narrow from the tee, but after a few meters it opens up to reveal groups of trees to the left and right. The green is guarded by a flat bunker on the left and a deeper one on the right. The entrance to the green is fairly clear and offers a relatively good approach zone. As on hole 15, the green is uphill, and putts are tricky.

The main difficulty of this par 3 is certainly the green. Apart from being elevated and guarded by numerous bunkers, this green is wide and has hidden slopes for inattentive players. It requires a precise shot depending on where the flag is. The first part of the green is uphill and curves from left to right, while the second half is flatter with a few subtle slopes.

This par 5 seems endless from the outset and appears to be stuck in a long corridor of trees. The landing zone of the drive is guarded on the right by woods and a red penalty area, and on the left by a long bunker. The rest of the fairway is dotted with trees and a few bunkers that make second shots tricky. The green is surrounded by large bunkers and a chain of trees on both the left and right.
